One in four women will be a victim of domestic violence in her lifetime. More than 43,000 Massachusetts children have witnessed domestic abuse. As many as 75% of children in families with domestic violence have themselves been abused. Transition House protects and supports women and children escaping domestic abuse and works to break the cycle of violence in neighborhoods throughout the greater Boston area.
